I went far too hard on this comic but I hope it makes you laugh…
Seeing Dragonball show up on BBC iPlayer was an absolutely wild ride, on Childrens’ BBC no less! Having grown up in a time of edited Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles, and having absolutely zero access to Dragonball (or any anime on telly for years really, after Samurai Pizza Cats), and other than in Cantonese or French via VHS tape trading - seeing such content in the age of streaming still never fails to surprise and delight my ageing oldtaku heart!
Around 1999 my brother was super-into Cartoon Networks' Cow & Chicken, so he wrote a spoof theme tune to Mighty Supercow based on the old US TV series The Mighty Hercules, and I did some fan art for him! We haven't done many team-ups like this but they are always fun and I enjoyed doing this a lot, I am still proud of how on-model I was with the character references for this freehand ink work!
